Comments:     Quick stop to the park to check out what ducks had come in lately and to sort through the gulls and white-cheeked geese.  I couldn’t find a Thayer’s gull today.
19 species (+2 other taxa)

Cackling Goose  X
Cackling Goose (minima)  600
Cackling Goose (Taverner’s)  15
Canada Goose  X
Canada Goose (moffitti/maxima)  28
Cackling/Canada Goose  4     Probably Lesser Canada Geese.  They were self associating off the raft of Ridgeway’s, were smaller than the “resident” CANG, and the forehead was more sloped than the Tavener’s in the area.  Just not comfortable putting a positive ID on them.
Eurasian Wigeon  1     Lone female associating with the AMWI.  I did not see a male in the 50 or so AMWI that were here today.  But he could of been in a flock i missed.  Last year there was a pair that was never very far apart, so maybe she is by herself.
American Wigeon  50
Mallard  125
Canvasback  1     Lone female sticking to the center of the main pond.
Lesser Scaup  1     Again a lone female.
Bufflehead  12     First of season for me.
Western Gull  2
Herring Gull  6
Glaucous-winged Gull  15
gull sp.  30     “Olympic” type — assumed to be WEGU x GWGU but i’m not confident i can accurately separate or rule out HERG x GWGU.
Rock Pigeon  X     Lots.  Flocks moving around a lot preventing an accurate count.  Probably around a hundred or so.
Western Scrub-Jay  1
Ruby-crowned Kinglet  1
Yellow-rumped Warbler  2
Song Sparrow  2
